UPDATE: Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Bedford Highway – Water Main Repair
(August 10, 2022) Halifax Water crews are on-site continuing emergency water main repair efforts near 1690 Bedford Highway, Bedford. Due to the complex nature of this repair, water service will be temporarily shut down in an area larger than previously communicated. No estimate of service restoration time. Two-way traffic will be maintained through the work area (single lane per direction.) Sidewalks remain open. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
