Water Service Advisory – Dartmouth System – High Demand

(May 20, 2022) Halifax Water is experiencing unexpected high demand on the Dartmouth water system. As a result, there may be the potential for customers supplied through the Dartmouth system to experience temporary changes, including lower or higher water pressure or temporarily discoloured water.
Customers receiving services through the Dartmouth system may experience discoloured water during/following this unexpected high demand. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. To learn more about discoloured water and to report it, please visit www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water.
Halifax Water is committed to providing safe, high-quality drinking water. To help ensure this, we are continually monitoring water quality across our distribution system on a daily basis.
To ensure the safety of our communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
