Water Service Advisory – Halifax Peninsula – Water System Maintenance
(June 3, 2022) On Wednesday, June 8, between 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking water valve and hydrant maintenance work in various areas on the Halifax peninsula. These areas include the south end, and the downtown core, running north along Barrington Street to the MacKay Bridge (see attached map). Customers in these areas may experience temporary changes in water pressure or discoloured water during this work. If customers experience discoloured water during/following this work, it is recommended that they run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure maintenance work may cause.
