Water Service Advisory – Maple Street and Main Avenue – Water Shut Off Notice
(May 20, 2022) Sackville Trenching, on behalf of Halifax Water, is working on the Maple Street Water Main Replacement Project. On Friday May 27th, 2022 water service will be turned off at 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM for residents in the area of Maple Street and Main Avenue.
To ensure that you have water during this period, please fill any containers you may have so that you will have sufficient water for drinking and cooking during this period. Also please turn off your hot water tanks during this time period to protect the heating element. Once water services are restored, please run your cold water tap to clear any discolored water that may occur. More information on what to do if you water is discoloured can be found at www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause. To ensure the safety of our communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
