Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Atlantic Street – Water Valve Replacement
(October 24, 2022) From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday, October 28, Halifax Water crews will be replacing a water valve near 5750 Atlantic Street, Halifax. Water service will be temporarily shut down on Atlantic Street between Tower Road and Ivanhoe Street. There will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. The south sidewalk in this area will be closed. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
