Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Barrington Street & Inglis Street Intersection – Water Service Interruption
(January 6, 2022) From 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, January 12, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking stormwater infrastructure work near the intersection of Barrington Street and Inglis Street, Halifax. During this work, water service will be shut down on Barrington Street from Smith Street to the south end of Barrington Street (see attached map.) There will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Some pedestrian routes will be closed during this work. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this work. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
