Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Chestnut Street & Jubilee Road – Valve Replacement
(September 29, 2021) From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Halifax Water crews will be on-site working to replace a water valve at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Jubilee Road, Halifax.
During this urgent repair, water service will be temporarily shut down on:
· Chestnut Street between Jubilee Road and Watt Street
· Jubilee Road between Preston Street and Chestnut Street
Chestnut Street will be open to local traffic only between Jubilee Road and Watt Street. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
