Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Herring Cove Road – Water Main Repair
(January 18, 2022) Halifax Water crews are on-site undertaking an emergency water main repair on Herring Cove Road near its intersection with Osborne Street, Halifax. Water service will be temporarily shut down in parts of the Cowie Hill area. No estimate of service restoration time. Herring Cove Road is closed in this area. A detour will be in place. Sidewalks remain open. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
