Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Herring Cove Road – Water Valve Replacement
(October 11, 2022) From 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, to 10:00 AM on Sunday, October 16, Halifax Water crews will be replacing a water valve at the intersection of Herring Cove Road and Dentith Road, Halifax. Water service will be temporarily shut down from 10:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, to 8:00 AM on Sunday, October 16, in the area shown on the attached map. There will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
