Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Herring Cove Road – Water Valve Replacement
(October 19, 2021) From 10:00 PM on Sunday, October 24, to 6:00 AM on Monday, October 25, Halifax Water crews will be on-site replacing a water main valve near the intersection of Herring Cove Road and Sylvia Avenue, Halifax. During this work, water service will be shut down from the intersection of Herring Cove Road and Drysdale Road to the end of the water system in the community of Herring Cove (see attached map). There will be an altered centre line in the work area, with two lanes of traffic maintained. The sidewalk near this work is closed. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
