Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Herring Cove Road – Water Valve Replacement
(May 23, 2023) Halifax Water crews will be replacing a water valve at the intersection of Brighton Avenue and Herring Cove Road, Halifax, between 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 28, to 6:00 AM on Monday, May 29. Water service will be temporarily shut down during this period, and customers impacted in this area will be notified directly. Traffic markers will be in place, and experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will be closed. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
