Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Inverness Avenue – Water Main Repair
(April 9, 2023) Halifax Water crews are on-site undertaking an emergency water main repair on Inverness Avenue, Halifax. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area. Service restoration time is estimated to be 6 PM.
The road between Redwood Avenue and Whimsical Lake Crescent will only be open to local traffic. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open.
Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
