Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Quinpool Road – Water Valve Repair
(April 20, 2023) From 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, Halifax Water crews will be repairing a water valve at the intersection of Quinpool Road and Connaught Avenue, Halifax. Customers in the areas of Quinpool Road between South Armcrescent Street and Beech Street and Connaught Avenue between Quinpool Road and Oak Street will be affected by the water service shutdown. Impacted customers will be notified directly. There will be lane reductions on Quinpool Road and Connaught Avenue, with two-way traffic maintained. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open. Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
