Water Services & Traffic Advisory – Beech Street – Hydrant Installation (April 16, 2025) From 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 17, Halifax Water will install a hydrant near the intersection of Beech Street and Chebucto Road, Halifax. Impacted water service customers have been notified of this work in advance.  Beech Street will be open to local traffic only between Oak Street and Chebucto Road. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks within the work zone will be open. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause. To ensure the safety of our communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
