Water Services & Traffic Advisory – Young Street – Hydrant Replacement
(August 22, 2024) From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM today, Halifax Water will replace a hydrant near 5400 Young Street, Halifax. Impacted water service customers have been notified of this work in advance.
Young Street from Novalea Drive to Union Street will be open to local traffic only. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks within the work zone will be closed. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause. To ensure the safety of our communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
