Hammonds Plains Road – Continuing Road Construction

Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that road construction will continue on Hammonds Plains Road, from Lucasville Road to Kingswood Drive, until approximately Nov. 24.

Crews will be on-site each weekday from now through Nov. 24 during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. An altered centreline is in place to ensure two-way traffic is maintained during the morning and afternoon rush hour. There will be stop-and-go traffic during the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., as required.

A portion of this work will require the traffic signals at Lucasville Road to be shut down. We will issue additional Public Service Announcements as required. Remaining work on this project will be completed in the spring 2017.

Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to use alternative routes, whenever possible.

The municipality regrets any inconvenience this road work may cause.
