Handgun, Drugs Discovered

At midnight members of the Central and West Division Quick Response Units along with Central Division Patrol members pulled over a Honda Accord on Massachusetts Avenue. 

Discovered in the vehicle as a result of the stop were a handgun, ammunition and a quantity of marijuana. The vehicle’s two occupants were arrested without incident. The 23-year-old male driver will appear in court today facing numerous weapons related charges as well as possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. A 22-year-old female passenger has been released, scheduled to appear in court at a later date facing most of the same charges.
