Amidst all the activity surrounding the storm last night, Halifax Police were busy with the following incidents.
Release:

At 9:50 pm A 23 year old female driver turned from Baker drive onto Portland street driving on the wrong side of the median.   Moments later she struck an eastbound vehicle causing a head on collision. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. 2 Occupants were in each vehicle and thankfully injuries were minor, all were treated and released at the scene.  The 23 year old driver was issued a SOT for being on the wrong side of the roadway.
Indecent Act
At 8:30 pm a female complainant was sitting in her vehicle at Duke Street and Albemarle Street in Halifax and reported observing a 40-50 year old white male walking along the street exposing himself.  The suspect was further described as approximately 5’9” in height, wearing a dark color ball cap and jacket.  No further description is available due to the poor visibility caused by the heavy rain.
Weapons Incident
At 10:20 pm east members responded to a physical disturbance in the 0-100 block of Hazlehurst St in Dartmouth.  Reports indicated that there were two males fighting with one making reference to accessing a gun.  Officers located the involved parties inside a basement apartment on Hazlehurst street and arrested 2 females and 3 males.  While securing the apartment a shotgun was located inside one of the bedrooms. Halifax Regional Police GIS and patrol members interviewed the occupants and are preparing a search warrant for the apartment.  Thus far weapons charges were laid against a 16 year old female from Truro, a 21 year old female from Salmon River, a 28 year old Dartmouth male, a 35 Year old Lower Sackville male and a 24 year old Dartmouth male.  The charges are as follows:  Unsafe storage 86(2), Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose 88(1), Possession of weapon knowing possession is unauthorized 92(1), Unauthorized possession of a firearm 91(2).  Police remain at the scene and expect to execute the search warrant    early this morning.  The investigation is ongoing.

(A blood demand is used when the presence of alcohol is suspected and the individual is unable to attend a police station for a Breathalyzer test.)  A 20 year  old Dartmouth male and a 22 year old Dartmouth male were interviewed by patrol members. The 22 year old male was released from custody. The 15 year old youth and the 20 year old male will be facing charges of Theft and Possession over $5000 and Joy Riding.
