Healthy Kidz celebrates 10 years with an art show in libraries

Hi everybody – the Healthy Kidz program in Greystone has a new art show coming up at their rec centre. The show is also going on the road to various libraries. I haven’t heard for sure, but I imagine that Captain William Spry must be on the list, so if you’re in the neighbourhood you may want to check it out.
See their press release, below:

On November 27th, from 12-3pm, Healthy Kidz (a Family SOS program) is celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary by orchestrating an Art Exhibit featuring art created by the participants in the program. This artwork will be on display at one of the program’s recreation centers at 33 Lemon Walk (Greystone, Spryfield). Hot drinks will be served and entrance is free of charge! In addition, due to the generosity and cooperation of various Halifax Regional Libraries, during the first two weeks of December, pieces of this art exhibit will be displayed throughout many libraries all over HRM.

Healthy Kidz is a community based program offered through Family SOS. This program offers a variety of services to children, youth and their families. Healthy Kidz has two site locations: one in the Greystone Community which operates for children between the ages of 6-12 years old, and the other located on Gottingen Street, Halifax which operates for youth between the ages of 13-17 years old.
