Heat warning in effect for most of the province (July 20 3:30pm report)

From Environment Canada:

Humidex values reaching 36 are expected for the next 3 days.


A period of very warm and humid weather is expected.

Time span: Thursday through Sunday.

Maximum daytime temperatures: 29 to 32 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 38), except cooler along parts of the coast.

Minimum overnight temperatures: 18 to 22 Celsius.

Locations: Mainland Nova Scotia

Remarks: A combination of very warm temperatures and elevated humidity will create very high humidex values over the next several days. The highest values are expected to occur over most areas on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures are forecast to turn cooler Sunday evening.
