Hello Hydration Smoothie (Vegan)

Jam packed with fruit filled nutrients and hydrating coconut water this delicious smoothie will get you fully charged to face your morning.

Dearest blog reader you might have noticed that I’ve been playing around with some vegan recipes lately.

Don’t worry I’m not making any drastic changes or anything, but I like the idea of incorporating vegan recipes into my diet. It forces me to try new foods, and I like eating “vegan recipes” because it ensures that I’m getting enough fruits and veggies into my diet while also helping to detoxify my body of all the gunk that I put into it! I’m not suggesting that you should subscribe to any one diet, or that you should start restricting any food either, but I would encourage you to maybe open your mind up to the possibility of eating more fruits and vegetables 🙂

It’s not secret that I like to start the day on a positive note, and so I love starting with a smoothie. Now smoothies can very much be a trap for sugar and high calories, but I think if they are done right you can really reep the benefits of making them yourself at home. In avoiding the pre-made varieties I really like to make big batches of smoothies and freeze them for the week ahead. For those of you who are trying to get on the right track I would strongly urge you to take action and make your breakfasts ahead of time. If your breakfast is already just chillin’ in your freezer then you have NO excuses to not be healthy 🙂 Ensuring that one meal of the day is healthy and filled with goodness for your body is certainly a great start towards a healthy lifestyle!

Ingredients:

3-5 bananas
2 cups mango (or more if you want to make a bigger batch)
6 dates
1 520ml can coconut water
1 TBSP Chia Seeds (optional)

Directions:

Starting with the coconut water add ingredients into the blend and mix.

I like to make a big batch at a time, and then pour them into glass jars to put in the freezer so I don’t need to make breakfast in the morning. Just make sure you take it out of the freezer the night before, so it’s nice and thawed out for you when you get up in the morning. Simply grab your smoothie and go!

**Using 3 bananas and 2 cups mango this recipe made 3 servings, but could easily add more bananas and mango to get more out of this recipe 🙂

Happy Tuesday!
Sincerely,
