Calling on all Bedford walkers and hikers.
The Halifax North West Trails Association needs you to help create a user-friendly trail map of the area.
Next Tuesday (May 19), the association will be hosting a “Green Mapping Workshop” at the Halifax Christian Church.
The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Cathy Conrad, a professor of geography at Saint Mary’s University.
In particular, the Association is hoping residents of the Southgate/Bedford Ravines area participate in the workshop. That area is home to the popular Old Coach Rd. Trail off Southgate Drive, one of the Association’s favourite trails.
In addition to mapping trails, the Association plans to map out green spaces as well.
The workshop will take place from 7-9 p.m. at the Halifax Christian Church, 51 Farnham Gate Road (opposite Wilson’s Gas Stop). Refreshments will be served.
