The RCMP is asking for public help to find a driver involved in a collision with a utility pole on Caldwell Dr. in Eastern Passage this morning.
At approximately 11:40 a.m., Halifax District RCMP got a call that a truck collided with a utility pole near the intersection of Caldwell Rd. and Shore Rd. and then turned westbound on Shore Rd.
Upon arrival, police learned that a dark blue 2007 GMC truck with Nova Scotia license plate number MAA95 was driving southbound in the 2000 block of Caldwell Rd. It appeared to narrowly miss colliding with a white Jeep then collided head-on with the utility pole and came to rest in a ditch. The pole and vehicle sustained damage in the collision. The truck backed out of the ditch and continued southbound on Caldwell Rd and then turned westbound on Shore Rd.
Anyone who witnessed this incident, including the occupants of the white Jeep that was narrowly missed, are asked to call Halifax District RCMP at 902-490-5020.
