(Found) Help RCMP find “Shorty” the fisherman statue

Update: “Shorty”​ the wooden fisherman statue found safe

Halifax District is pleased to advised that “Shorty”,​ the wooden fisherman statue​ reported missing from a home in Peggy’s Cove​ on April 12, has been returned to his owner.​

The RCMP will not be pursuing charges as per the owner’s wishes. The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance, shares and​ retweets on social media.

Halifax District RCMP is asking for assistance to​ find a 5-foot-2 wooden fisherman statue named “Shorty” stolen​ from the​ front yard of a residence on Peggy’s Point Rd.

The statue​ was taken sometime between 8 a.m. on April 8 and 8 a.m. on April 9.​ “Shorty” has long brown hair, a brown beard, a trunk like build and weighs 120 pounds.​ He was last seen standing still and wearing a yellow sou’wester, a fisherman’s sweater, yellow fishing waders and black rubber boots.​ He was showing off his catch while jauntily smoking his pipe.
