Here’s mud in yer eye!

When Reflections Cabaret moves across Sackville Street to its new digs later this summer, it’ll be doing so without long-time manager Stephen Filek.

A recent graduate of the Practical Nursing program at NSCC’s Waterfront Campus, Stephen announced on Facebook earlier this week he was leaving the bar business.

“After 18 years, I have decided to leave Reflections so that I can open the next chapter in my life with nursing,” he wrote. “I want to thank (Reflections owner) Mike Schmid and the entire Refs family for many years of opportunity.”

Replacing Stephen, who’s accepted a position with Capital Health, is bartender Ross Taylor.

Meanwhile, around the corner on Barrington Street, fans of popular Niche staffer Lori Jardine will be shaken (not stirred) to learn that Saturday, June 21 will be the Shubenacadie superstar’s last day. After 12 years of service, lovely Lori will be taking a much-deserved break while weighing her future career options.
