Hertiage Group Not A Fan Of HRM By Design

Calling it an “invitation to abuse”, Heritage Trust representative Phil Pacey gave a presentation to the law amendments committee at the Nova Scotia legislature yesterday on their displeasure with the city’s HRM by Design plan.

Amy Smith at the Chronicle-Herald covered the story last night.  From today’s article:

“Mr. Pacey said HRM by Design would also put 120 registered heritage buildings in the downtown core at further risk. He said that’s because the act would raise the current height limits, tempting developers to apply to demolish the buildings, wait a couple of years and then build higher ones.”

More over at the Chronicle-Herald.
