@HfxRegPolice Blotter: Robbery

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 14, Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery at the convenience store located at 2340 Brunswick Street in Halifax. A man entered the store, stated he had a gun and demanded cash and cigarettes. A customer in the store confronted the man and was able to subdue him. Staff from the store contacted police and advised them of the situation. Police arrived and took the man into custody without incident. No weapons were located on the man. The 28-year-old Dartmouth man will appear in court tomorrow to face robbery and several breach of probation charges.
