Three Dartmouth men have been remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility today as a result of a weapons call in the area of Primrose Street last night. Thirty-six-year-old Wayne Oakes, 28-year-old George Purvis and 24-year-old Greg Weeks are charged with numerous firearm and weapons offences.
As a result of this investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Primrose Street and three people have been charged with drug and weapons offences. A thirty-five-year old woman, a 17-year-old female and a 16-year-old male have been charged with trafficking and possession of cannabis and cocaine and possession of a weapon. They have been released and will be appearing in Dartmouth Court at a later date.

On January 16 at 6:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of the 0-100 block of Primrose Street in Dartmouth in relation to a weapons complaint where two men were believed to be in possession of firearms. The subsequent investigation led to a traffic stop on Highfield Park Drive where two Dartmouth men, aged 28 and 36, were arrested for weapons offences. Further to the initial arrests, a 24-year-old Dartmouth man was also arrested for firearms offences. All three men are in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
