Police are alerting all citizens of Nova Scotia, particularly those in the Halifax Regional Municipality, about a sexual offender that is residing in the community.
Fifty-five-year-old Wayne Stanley Crawley was released from a federal penitentiary after having served his full two-year sentence for sexual assault.
Crawley has multiple previous convictions, including sex offences against children and adults dating back to the 1970s. He has been professionally assessed as a high risk to re-offend in a sexual manner.
Crawley is on a number of conditions, which are intended to prevent him from having contact with children under the age of 16.
Crawley is a black male, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, bald with brown eyes.
