Antigonish County RCMP is advising motorists that traffic is being rerouted onto Highway 4 between exits 37 (Tracadie) and 38 (Havre Boucher).

At approximately 8:45 p.m. this evening, a tractor trailer traveling eastbound stopped on the side of the highway due to poor visibility.

Another tractor trailer also traveling eastbound did not see the stopped vehicle and rear ended it. One driver sustained minor injuries.

RCMP and Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR) wish to advise motorists to expect delays. Because of poor visibility and high winds, it is expected that traffic will be rerouted all night as the tractor trailers will not be moved until daylight. The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Once again, RCMP is reminding motorists to stay off the roads until the situation improves.
