Hit and run in Bedford

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a hit and run that occurred in Bedford early this morning.

At 1:30 a.m., police were called to a single vehicle collision on Hwy. 102. Upon arrival, police were notified that another vehicle was involved in the collision but did not stop. Preliminary reports indicate that a white car was travelling south bound on Hwy 102. when it was struck on the passenger side by a dark pick up truck. The car then lost control and went into the ditch. The truck continued on south bound. Police made patrols for the suspect vehicle but it was not located.
