Hit & run incident involving child investigated

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a hit and run incident that occurred in Halifax earlier this month.

On October 6 at approximately 6 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle pedestrian collision that had occurred in the area of Punch Bowl Drive and Highfield Street. A child was crossing the street when they were struck by a silver or light grey Hyundai SUV. The driver of the SUV, described by witnesses as a man, did not stop and left the area. The child did not sustain any injuries.
