Thursday, May 28, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Hollis Street in Halifax will be closed to traffic on Sunday, May 31, during installation of a large construction crane.
Crews will close Hollis between Prince and Salter streets starting at 9 a.m. The street is expected to reopen at about 4 p.m. Sunday. During that time, crews will accommodate local traffic in the block between Prince and Sackville streets, but no traffic will be allowed in the immediate construction area between Sackville and Salter streets.
Pedestrians will still be able to access the sidewalks in the area, although there may be some temporary closures for safety reasons. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this closure may cause.
