Homicide victim identified

Police are releasing the name of the victim in the homicide that occurred on Primrose Street in Dartmouth last week.

The Medical Examiner Service has conducted an autopsy and ruled the death a homicide. Police are now in a position to identify the victim as 25-year-old Zachery Jordell Charles Grosse of Dartmouth.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on October 22, police responded to a weapons/injured person call and located Zachery outside 24 Primrose Street. Zachery was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 1 a.m. on October 23.

At this time, investigators believe that Zachery’s murder was not a random act.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about Zachery’s murder to call police at 902-490-5016.
