House extensively damaged after MVA

On Tuesday September 15, 2020 at approximately (shortly after midnight) 12:45 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police and New Glasgow Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Jury Street.

The collision occurred when a 2019 black Honda Civic collided with a power pole on Jury Street.

The collision caused a power pole to break off, sending a portion of the power pole through a nearby residence causing extensive damage.

Two persons that were in the vehicle at the time and fled the scene.

No injuries were reported, but the vehicle sustained major damage.

Constable Ken Macdonald stated, “Police are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and investigators will now examine the scene to determine the causes of the collision,”

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
