Halifax, NS, May 21, 2014 One of the most famous streets in the world can
now be found at the Discovery Centre thanks to the new exhibit Sesame Street
Presents The Body opening May 24th in Halifax.
This interactive exhibit features beloved Sesame Street characters like
Elmo, Grover, Ernie and Bert, Oscar the Grouch, Rosita and Big Bird to
explore everything from fingers and toes to the body¹s squishy insides.
³There are very few brands in the world that capture the imagination as much
as Sesame Street,² says Dov Bercovici, President & CEO of the Discovery
Centre. ³The opportunity to use the well-known characters of Sesame Street
as pseudo-science teachers is the perfect combination of entertainment and
education for young children. This exhibit will be a huge hit for families.²
The interactive exhibit is broken into three categories Your Insides, Your
Outsides and Staying Healthy. Children will learn about their organs, their
digestive systems, various body parts and how staying healthy is the body¹s
most important job. And they¹ll do it all in the famous backdrop of the
Sesame Street neighbourhood children have grown up with for 45 years.
Sesame Street Presents the Body opens at the Discovery Centre on Saturday
May 24th and runs until September 7th.
