OK, now that we have that out of the way…one more warning for those folks who absolutely, totally, do not like SPOILERS, even if they reveal very little.

According to my favorite spoiler king, EW’s Michael Ausiello, the first episode of this upcoming season of How I Met Your Mother will feature a wedding. Previous spoilers, interviews with the show’s creators, and plain common sense suggest that the wedding will be a glimpse into Ted’s future. We already knew Rachel Bilson will be guest starring again this season, so my guess is she’ll be playing a bridesmaid/maid of honor at her roomie’s wedding. Will we see the mother at all? Will her face be obscured by a veil? How much of the wedding will we get to see? Sure, it’s not meeting the mother…but it’s a hell of a lot better than that time they showed us her ankle!
