HRM’s Governance and District Boundary Review 2012

Following public consultation, a recommendation on HRM’s 16 new polling district boundaries for the 2012 Municipal and School Board elections has been proposed. The recommendation to be forwarded is Scenario 1 (as presented to the public) with two substantial and several minor revisions coming from the public consultation. A regional and 16 district maps which outline the recommended boundaries are provided. The NSUARB will hold public meetings on the boundary submission forwarded by HRM. Residents will have an opportunity to speak at that time should they wish. To do so, individuals may make either written submissions or sign up to speak at the evening portion of the hearing, which will be held on Monday, November 7th at 7 p.m. Written submissions or requests to speak must be made to the NSUARB by Friday, October 31, 2011.
