Thursday, April 17, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – In honour of Earth Day on April 22, 2014, Halifax Regional Municipality’s Adventure Earth Centre is encouraging HRM youth, adults and families to take part in their “Pick Up to Win” Challenge.
Through the challenge, the Centre is encouraging participants to help clean up the environment by picking up disposable cups from “wherever they don’t belong” between now and Earth Day.
On the evening of April 22, participants are encouraged to bring the disposable cups they’ve found littering the environment, to the Centre. Token prizes will be given out for categories such as: “Person who gets the largest group of people to help out”, “Cup from farthest away” and even a prize for a “Cup from the most unique or unusual hiding place.”
The event is designed to help residents think about keeping their environment clean and highlighting Earth Day.
Adventure Earth “Pick Up to Win” Challenge Tuesday, April 22, 2014 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Adventure Earth Centre, 69 Parkhill Road, Fleming Park, 490-4539
