HRP: 42 tickets in 48 hours including speeding, cellphone usage and others

Over the past two days, the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued 42 tickets in relation to speeding and other motor vehicle-related offences.

Since Monday, members of the HRP Traffic Unit issued 42 summary offence tickets: 12 for speeding, six for no insurance, three for invalid safety inspections and 21 for other offences including using a cell phone while driving, operating an unregistered vehicle, unsafe lane change and open alcohol in vehicle. 

We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
