Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is pleased to announce Cst. Martin Cromwell as its new Public Information Officer (PIO).
Cst. Cromwell has been with HRP for 17 years. He worked in the Patrol Division for 15 years, and most recently was assigned to Central Division as a Community Response Officer. He has been involved in a variety of initiatives throughout his career, including the HRP PAL program, Inclusion in Service and being a member of the HRP recruitment team. Prior to joining HRP, he served for seven years in the Canadian Armed Forces in both the Navy and Air Force. Cst. Cromwell’s knowledge in policing and passion for building community relationships will serve him well in his new role communicating on behalf of HRP.
He takes over from outgoing PIO, Cst. John MacLeod, who started in this role in 2018. HRP extends our sincere thanks to Cst. MacLeod for his contributions to the role and for representing HRP on a range of topics for the last six years.
