Halifax Regional Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax this afternoon.
At 1426 hours police responded to a robbery in the 5800 block of University Ave. The victim, who works at that location, saw a man holding her purse. She grabbed the purse and the suspect grabbed the victim and took the purse back and took an undisclosed amount of money. The victim screamed and two men arrived and the suspect fled the building. The victim was not injured in the incident. The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s, tanned, medium build with short but shaggy light brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket with white lines, a t-shirt, black baseball cap with a red logo, medium length shorts and sneakers.
