At approximately 7:50 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery that had occurred inside a residence in the 200 block of Windmill Rd in Dartmouth. Police have learned that 3 men were inside a residence as this address when 2 men entered through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspects searched for items to steal. One of the suspects was armed with a conducted energy weapon (CEW) which he used against a 22 year old man. One of the victims fled the apartment and contacted police. The suspects fled the area shortly thereafter, it is unknown at this time what was stolen. EHS paramedics attended the scene, however the victim refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries sustained from the CEW. The area was searched by patrol members and an HRP K9 unit, however no suspects were located at this time. Police do not believe this to be a random act. Halifax Regional Police Forensic Identification members are assisting with the investigation which will be conducted by members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
The suspects are described as: 2 white males, approximately 20 years of age, one tall and one short, wearing dark clothing.
