HRP arrest youth in relation to Ultramar robbery

Police make arrest in Ultramar gas station robbery
 
Halifax Regional Police have arrested a male youth who was wanted in relation to a robbery that occurred earlier this month in Dartmouth.
 
At approximately 10:50 p.m. on January 10, patrol members responded to a report of a robbery at the Ultramar gas station located at 219 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. A staff member reported to police that a man had robbed the store while armed with a knife and fled northbound from the store with a quantity of cigarettes and money. Patrol members, assisted by a K9 unit searched the area, however, they were unable to locate the suspect. The matter was investigated by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. 
Yesterday at 1:51 p.m., officers arrested a 17-year-old male youth from Halifax in the 2100 block of Barrington Street in relation to this incident. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court today on charges of robbery with a weapon and breach of a probation order under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
