HRP Continue to Investigate Halifax Shooting

Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in Clayton Park yesterday morning.

At approximately 2 a.m. on March 6, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report from a man that he had been shot inside a residence in the 600 block of Parkland Drive in Halifax. Patrol, Emergency Response Team and K-9 members responded to the area and located a 60-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was treated at the scene by EHS and transported to hospital with injuries that were believed to be life-threatening. The area was searched for suspects by police but no suspects were located.

The victim remains in hospital and his condition is preventing officers from speaking with him at this time. This matter is not considered a random act, however, it is very early in the investigation.

Police are still searching for three suspects believed to be involved in the shooting. Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who may have information on this incident.
