Halifax Regional Police were called to the Chebucto Inn on Lady Hammond Road shortly before 8:00am this morning in relation to an injured party. A 39 year old man told police he was assaulted by men who were not known to him. The man was invited into a room at the Inn and the assault took place inside, with the men leaving in a car shortly thereafter.
The file is being investigated by the Integrated General Investigative Section and continues at the time of this report. More information will be released as it becomes available. There are no descriptions at this time of those responsible.
