HRP investigate commercial business robbery

At approximately 5:05 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a commercial hold up alarm at a business at 2860 Oxford St in Halifax.  On arrival HRP determined that a robbery had taken place at the “Daily Sweets” store.  A bald, white man, with a large build, approximately 5 foot 4 inches tall, wearing a blue shirt and jeans, demanded money from the staff member.  The man left the store with a sum of money in an older model gold sedan.  There were no injuries in this robbery and no weapon was used or threatened.  At approximately 9:20 pm HRP arrested a 45 year old man in the area of North St and Dublin St in Halifax.  The matter is currently still under investigation by members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.  Charges are anticipated against this man, however the exact charges will not be known until the investigation is complete.  An update will be issued when that decision has been finalized.
