Halifax Regional Police is currently at the scene of a robbery at the East Coast Credit Union located at 155 Ochterloney Street in Dartmouth.
Just after 10:50 a.m., a man entered the bank, gave the teller a note and indicated that he had a weapon. No weapon was seen by witnesses. The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed sum of money. Patrol officers, as well as the K9 Unit, attended but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s to early 30s, 5’10” with a thin build, long hair pulled back in a ponytail and no facial hair. He was wearing a black ball cap, black jacket with a white shirt under a grey shirt and jeans.
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has any information on this incident or the suspect to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
