Halifax Regional Police were called to the Subway Restaurant located at 2792 Gottingen Street shortly before 7:00 pm this evening in relation to a robbery. A tall black man wearing a dark hoodie and a black and white bandanna over his face with a large knife entered the store and demanded cash. The male hopped the counter and assaulted the female worker before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash out of the back door. The employee was not hurt. The file is still currently under investigation and will be followed up by the Integrated General Investigative Section.
