HRP Investigate Suspicious Circumstance – Dartmouth

At approximately 12:45 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a suspicious circumstances call that occurred in the area of Lakefront Rd and Portland St in Dartmouth.  A 12 year old girl reported to her mother that while she was walking from school on her lunch break she was approached by a man in a silver 4 door vehicle.  This man told the girl that he liked what she was wearing and offered her a drive, the man drove off briefly but waited for the girl on an adjacent street.  The girl told him no and ran from the area and told her mother about what had transpired.  The suspect is described as a white man, 40-50 years of age, wearing small reading style glasses.  He was operating a silver 4 door vehicle.  The girl was not harmed in this incident.  Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
